Gryphon Zephyr Ring Saw Like so many other glass artists, we've been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the NEW Gryphon Zephyr Ring Saw and we're VERY impressed with it's performance!! The NEW Gryphon Zephyr Ring Saw offers a number of advantages not found in other glass saws. The diamond-coated stainless-steel ring blade will cut glass in ANY direction, forward, backward, or sideways, and operation is very smooth and very quiet (MUCH, MUCH quieter than its competition)! The Zephyr saw has a large work surface (17.5" x 17.5" - again, substantially larger than the competition), that is free of obstructions. Completely safe to operate, the diamond ring blade will NOT cut your fingers, but slices through any hard materials including glass, tile, rock (and other similar materials) "like budda" thanks to its 1/3HP DC motor. The overhead blade support is slender, not bulky, allowing the artist to have a clear view of the material that is being cut. In addition, the Zephyr has a deeper throat (20% deeper at 6 5/8" vs. 5 1/2") and therefore offers more clearance for the glass than other ring saws. Special attention has been given to designing this ring saw for both quiet operation and low maintenance. Jen-Ken Manual Glass Fusing Kiln This Glass Fusing Kiln by Jen-Ken is the same model the Two Lasses love and use in their own studios and in their popular classes! It can be used for virtually any glass fusing project from creating fabulous dichroic glass jewelry to dishes and votive candle holders.
