Large Leaf Platter Mold

This lovely mold is meticulously crafted in the shape of a leaf and ideal for creating graceful and elegant fused glass dishes for serving salads, sushi or cheese and crackers.  The pre-drilled holes in the floor of this mold will ensure that you get a nice, flat bottom when you slump your glass.  The Two Lasses love using green iridescent glass when using this mold for a fabulous shimmering effect, but IF you do, we suggest that you fire it with the iridescent side down (facing the mold floor) as SOME iridescent coatings are not food safe.

This mold measures just over 12 inches from tip to tip and just over 5 3/4 inches across and is 1 3/8th's inches deep.  If you are using a smaller, table-top sized kiln, you will want to check and make sure that there is room for this mold in your kiln.  It will yield a fabulous glass plate measuring approximately 11 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches with a flat base area of 9 inches in length by 4 inches in width.
