MONDAY MORNING GLASS FUSING WORKSHOPS During the months of March, April and May of 2010, Pippa “Pip” Cossette of Two Lasses Glass Classes will be offering Monday morning glass fusing workshops. Each Monday from 9:30 until noon, we will explore different warm glass techniques in order to create beautiful and functional works of art. No previous experience is necessary! Sponsored and hosted by GLASS CRAFTERS, these workshops are conveniently held at the Glass Crafters studio, next to their store at 398 Interstate Court, (just off I-75 at the Fruitville Road exit) in Sarasota, Florida. Projects may include: “Hey, I’ve Been Framed” - Create a fused glass mosaic frame for your favorite photo. “Say Goodnight, Gracie” - Create a lovely nightlight using glass scrap and frit. “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” - Create elegant icicles for holiday decorating. “A Tisket, A Tasket” - Create a woven dish and learn about glass weaving techniques. “Leaf It To Me” - Create lovely drop earrings and learn to work with a ring saw. “You Light Up My Life” - Create a unique votive candle holder. At their discretion, The Lasses reserve the right to present any of the projects listed and/or to add, eliminate or change projects as necessary.
The fee is $200.00 for all FOUR workshops, and includes ALL the necessary supplies, use of the tools and equipment and the firing of your projects. Refreshments will be provided by the Lasses. There will be a limit of EIGHT students per class. The 2010 Fall and Winter class schedule will be posted in August. Have a safe and happy summer! To register for these workshops or our fusing classes, please contact Glass Crafters at (941) 379-8333. A deposit* of $75.00 will be required at the time of registration. For private, in-studio instruction or small groups, please contact the Lasses directly at twolassesglass@yahoo.com. We are located in Sarasota, on Florida's beautiful Gulf Coast. *Deposits reserve your place in our studio and ensure that classes are not over-booked. Your deposit is fully refundable if the class is canceled, or you may choose to use that same deposit to hold your place in the next available class. Students who find themselves in an unavoidable situation where they need to cancel (i.e., illness), will automatically have their deposit used to hold their place in the next available class. |
